Delano Adult School provides high quality training for basic healthcare service providers through its Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
This course equips students with relevant skills needed to succeed in the ever-expanding health sector, while also aiding the communities in Kern County alleviate the shortage of Certified Nurse Assistants in local care institutions. During training, the instructors shall teach students various techniques that are needed to provide primary care such as dressing, feeding, cleaning and monitoring patients in different facilities like hospitals, assisted living homes and in-home health centers. The program further provides graduates with constant support upon completion of their course, with particular emphasis on professionalism, punctuality and work commitment. Costs And Qualifications
The cost of the Delano Adult School CNA program is $500.00. The cost can be broken into two payments of $250 each.
This fee doesn’t include materials or books. The requirements for acceptance are to be 18 years or older, no convictions for a felony, possess a Social Security Card, and possess a GED or H.S. Diploma. If you meet all of the requirements, you can have your name placed on the waiting list. Additionally, the CASAS reading test must be taken. This is an 8th grade level reading comprehension test. You will be contacted one month before the beginning of class in order to schedule your test. At testing time, you must present your Social Security Card, a Valid Picture ID, and a Copy of your GED or High School Diploma.

The GED program at Delano Adult School is one of its most popular programs. In fact, if you live in Bakersfield, Delano, or anywhere in Central California, there’s a decent chance you know someone who got their GED through DAS(Delano Adult Achool). They offer classes in both English and Spanish, and their goal is truly to assist the student in furthering their education. The GED is also known as the High School Equivalency Program. Refund Policy: Delano Adult School doesn’t issue refunds for CNA class fees. If the class is dropped without an acceptable reason, the fees won’t be refunded. You will be able to sign up for the next Delano CNA class, but you will be placed on the waiting list. The Delano Adult School CNA class is aligned with Bakersfield Community College, which means the CNA class counts towards college credits. This can be especially useful if you are planning on eventually signing up for the Bakersfield College Nursing Program.
