About the CNA Program at NKVTC 2016/2017
The CNA program at North Kern Vocational Training Center is open to women & men who have a true interest in helping to care for patients who are ill and/or convalescing.
The program participants in the North Kern Vocational Training Center CNA training program will start their school year with classroom work studying charting techniques, standard nursing care, learning how different factors can affect health, what role the healthcare provider plays, human development, and basic anatomy & physiology. After completion of the introductory classes, the CNA students will then transported to local clinical settings for the purpose of learning and putting to use the skills they have learned in the assistance of care of patients in acute and/or convalescent hospitals while under the supervision of the North Kern Vocational Training Center CNA instructor.

About North Kern Vocational Training Center
The North Kern Vocational Training Center program is a solid foundation for students who are interested to find employment as a CNA. For those students interested in furthering their formal education towards an LVN or RN degree, will find this program useful because of the skills, background, & knowledge learned. After completing the CNA program at North Kern Vocational Training Center, the student receives an Achievement Record & Certificate of Completion. After graduating the program, students will be able to sit for the State of California’s CNA exam. Our graduates have a historical pass rate of 99% on the State exam!
